That’s where the itch to gather up “pretties” really began. As a young adult, I hated dressing like everyone else, so you’d find me at Goodwill, Savers or the local resale shop Elite Repeat. Fast forward to my college days when I’d shop for my friends at all the thrift shops which quickly turned into an Etsy venture with my bestie, Sarah. AudreyRose was born the fall of 2009… half named for my Grammie and half for what Sarah was suppose to be named before she was born. It’s also a scary psychological thriller book and movie. AudreyRose quickly became the thing I WANTED to do, while Sarah pursued a career in real estate, don’t worry, we are still amazingly good friends.

AudreyRose’s first location was a shared space in the Northrup King Building in NE in 2018 which gave way to a larger shared space later that same year. Then as 2020 was ramping up, the pandemic hit. I knew it was gonna be a long ride so I quickly relocated my shop into my home in South Minneapolis. It was a cramped year with racks of clothing taking up the entire spare room and sometimes living room. Thankfully on our weekly outings to our fav donut shop, Baker’s Wife, we saw my future storefront and the rest is history. The brick and mortar officially opened its doors June 10th, 2021.

As a kid, I would go garage & estate saleing with my Grammie Audrey.
